“Software Angels” is a term used in transhumanist philosophy to refer to a means of overcoming mortality by uploading the contents of the human mind into software.
This photo series explores the term itself by taking it literally, with all the contradiction and poetry it contains. Here, the angels are trapped within/behind screens (televisions, phones, scanners) and multiplied, representing a virtual evanescence.
